That's nice, Eric.

They may be one and the same, but be careful. Who is it that wants either? "I want to be this, I want to be that." Where is the "I" that wants it?

Now, if you decide to have a look for that person, who is it that is looking for it? Is the desire of the person looking for the "I" any different from the desire of the "I" that wants to be great or to be nothing?

Another way you might look; Is the "I" any different from the desire itself? Is it the "I" having desire, or are the very desire and desire-er one and the same?

I am not saying you are wrong or anything like that, by the way. Have a look and see what is there.

Good luck.

I alternately find myself thinking: "I want to be a great spiritual Being: I want to be nobody: They are one in the same."
