The idea, “Enlightenment is this,” or, “Liberation is that,” might make you feel significant or give you solidity and security, but what is it good for? It is only your best guess. Where will your ideas of enlightenment take you? Is it possible for you to cast aside all these ideas you’ve been handed?
The material presented here comes from the comments on the post, Is Relationship Based on Memory? This was originally posted around one year ago, and as I sit here now, have no memory of writing it. I can be fairly certain it is my writing, but there is no closeness or association that brings it [...]
There is a measure of thought that sees love or compassion as actions that have occurred or will occur. There is a measurement of more or less compassion, or more or less love. But is there more or less love, or only love? More or less compassion, or only compassion? What is the instrument making [...]

Is there time involved - becoming, getting better, and all of that - outside of the self? It might seem that way, but I am not interested in how things seem. Any growth within the self is limited to the desires, prejudices, and beliefs therein. Time may be part of the fuel mixture of that [...]

Question of the Week: 9/22 - 9/28
This great question comes from iamasimpleman on the short post, No Mystery. “I have read your words several times and the begin to touch my heart. I don’t really give exercises, and I do not prescribe fixes for illusory problems. But I thought it might be of some use to go into what is inquiry. This will be a relatively quick post, as we can go into it further in the comments and flesh it out from there.
For [...]

I walk quite a bit. Perhaps, more than quite a bit. My rough estimation indicates a distance of 36 to 40 miles per week (or 58 to 64 kilometers). And those numbers continue to slowly grow over time.
These numbers are separate from the regular walking that takes place during one’s normal activities.
Why [...]
