Yes, making it personal. That is the road to suffering. Just experiencing it as it is. That is the road to peace.

Uzma,

Sadness, or anger, or any other emotions, are pure and beautiful. But problems arise when we stick out fingers into them and make them personal.

People often say they want to control or eliminate their emotions. But there is nothing wrong at all with the emotions that arise. We just can't seem to leave them alone, and that interference is the essence suffering.

My pleasure Takuin. There is a sense of sadness in this post.
But then, also optimism that comes with gratitude. You remember what you were grateful for, the gesture that the cookies brought with them.
If only all of us could find the peace and beauty of sadness.

Hey.
Could you please also enumerate all the other sub headings in the diary. It's a very simple aspiring idea. Maybe we can also create diaries with such sub headings. Do share

Akiko was surprised; she had already forgot about the Iced Wine Mayumi mentioned in her letter. But then we saw the same vendor a year to the day of her death. A warm hello from beyond? Nah, I know too much about the routines of food vendors in Japan. Haha...

Still, it was nice to see.
