This depends on what you mean by awareness and consciousness.

I already have entries planned for both of these words in the new A to Z of Being series.

In awareness everything just happens. That doesn't mean that one cannot do things, or make plans.

Some use the word to mean having or showing realization, perception, or knowledge. That is fine. I use it in that way, as well. But there is another awareness.

If a cat comes into the room and you see it, you might say that you are aware of the cat. But what happens if the cat is seen, but there is no one there to be aware of anything?

That is the kind of awareness I am talking about.

Consciousness is simple to understand. It contains the memories, experiences, thoughts, and other mental constructs that exist in the mind. I can see nothing else there. If that is all there is, then consciousness is composed of its contents; the content is the consciousness, and the consciousness is the content.

But I will go into this further in the respective posts.

What would be the connection between Consciouness and Awareness? The concept of Awareness seams to be prior to Consciousness. What "happens" there ...from Awareness to Consciousness.
