Seeing is not Believing

When I see another person, why should I believe anything I think about them? Besides, I don’t want to think about them. I can stay at home to do that. It is more fulfilling to see the person; to be there with them as being unfolds. It is a moment frozen in time, as the past falls away. But due to the nature of being, there is no moment to be frozen. It only exists as a monument in our memories.

Much more fun when what is simply arises. It can be hard not to engage the thoughts and memories. But if we can favour just being present, we invite the flow. What moves through us is then bliss and love. It’s very funny then…

    Davidya,

It is hard for most to get their heads around; memories without that direct engagement. It leads one to believe there is something they can do to change the action of the engage-er.

“Aha! There is a ’someone’ that is doing all of this stuff! I know, I’ll push away this doer so I can see what is really there. ”

Stop doing all of this non-doing!

Outstanding, takuin, such a simple and natural explanation of truly being with another. Thank you for sharing this. :)
