Not judging the thoughts and or compulsions that seem to be unsavory and dark is one thing. However, is reducing them and even eliminating them possible? I find that when I meditate my mind moves into a realm where strength, possibility and connectivity reside. On the other hand, when I am not in meditation, I am prone to experience thoughts and inclinations that are sometimes mean, unsympathetic, selfish, desirous and forgetful of higher spiritual truths and states-of-being.

Perhaps this is all as it should be. When we are residing in the ego we become worldly with mental energy that is on a level below that which we experience in meditation. And thus, our experiences and thoughts occur accordingly.

My real question to all is this:

Thru meditation and spiritual discipline, is it possible to be in that higher state-of-being more and more, without even meditating, so that the lower impulses are reduced and or eliminated?
Or, are we doomed to exist with a mixture of yin and yang, positive and negative, that acceptance of(thus taking away their power over us)will bring about realizations which lead to enlightenment?

(laughs) hmmmm - you actually do describe it classically. I know a few people who's shift was accompanies by great emotional upheaval. And I know people who have processed a lot of pain, independent of waking. Mine was pretty smooth but it was quite apparent the period beforehand was preparation and it was not smooth. Life turned upside down. There can be a great deal of purification when the consciousness opens. Its a big change.

No, awareness would not be limited. Its only the flow of energy at certain resolutions. Not physical so not so localized. Not blocked but not flowing easily in all values. But it doesn't really matter if you have or don't have concepts about this.

Just some resistance and some clearing. Life.

Yes, people pray to various gods and such to remove obstacles that are not really there. They push against what is, making it wrong. yada yada...

I have no idea if it will or will not clear. The change in the organism was extremely painful. There was no beautiful transition, as some may think.

As the awareness deepens, this sensation is present. I am not saying that one is necessary for the other, but it seems to like being present.

In the beginning, it seemed to be all pain, like decapitation by immolation. Afterward, pain persisted in the neck and at the top of the head. I don't really notice any sensations in the neck anymore, but it does creep up every now and then.

Sometimes the pain feels to be part of the head, but most of the time, it seems to hover above. It is odd because there is pain, but it isn't a part of the head. Even if it feels to be in the head, it is not a part of the head.

That is as close as I can get.

Nadi or no, I have no way to verify what is happening; only sensations. I find it highly unlikely that anything can block the energy that is here. Others may claim it to be so, but it may be due to their own misunderstanding of this energy. Even in injury, the energy flows as freely as it always does. There might be other forces at work within the organism, but I see no detrimental effect in the tide of awareness.

Many times, when someone says there are blocks in the energy, their statements that follow will ensure that for 3 easy payments of 49.95, those blocks can be cleared. Haha.

No thanks. I gave at the office. :)

Fascinating description. It sure sounds like a point of resistance, a block in the flow where energy builds. The nadi's are kind of like astral channels (though I dislike the term). Its sort of like the energy equivalent of the dull ache you can get when the physical is healing something. At some point it should clear. As it seems to be significant, when it does you may find some significant opening.

But one never knows.

Thanks for that, Nur. It is always lovely to hear from you.

I guess by meditation, you mean what I am doing when I write these Sitting posts? It is all quite simple, but I will see if I can get something worth posting.

Thanks for the suggestion, as always.

Wow, I love the way you say, not to judge the thoughts. It's great to be on this journey with you.
Takuin, see if you can write a series on meditation for people like us. Would be fantastic.

Thankssss
