hey
a lil confused. If there is no self, then what is there?
I know you will say , I need to know or figure it out for myself, but if you say it in words, it will help :-) thanks

Thanks Albert and Mike. I appreciate it.

It is not always easy, though. Sometimes I'll sit down to write and nothing happens. All I will get are a few lines that I will fill in later.

This particular article took quite a long time. But it always takes as long as it takes.

This has to be one of the most concise and apt descriptions of the indescribable I have come upon in a long while.

I agree with Albert that your "the nonexistence of a center that perceives" is an exquisite use of words.

I add as an aside that certain Hindu Advaitist schools advocate awareness as the "field" that consciousness exists "in" since consciousness can "contain," or be conscious of, while awareness does not "contain." But I think this is just theosophical hair-splitting.

Nevertheless, I tend to hold more toward awareness as the "foundation"(so to speak).

Good work (but I suppose it comes easy!)

Thanks,
mike S
