Our lives ebb and surge, retreat and advance, from the first breath, until our lives abate, falling into nothingness.
Some never truly live until their life is finished.
In life, one lives as the description, as the word, desperately seeking the proper punctuation to complete itself gracefully…
…a dream, searching for a dream-less state.
In death, one gives over everything freely, with no hope or expectation of return. It is compassion beyond thought. It is life beyond measure…
…a being, with no need to be anything.
Will you ever know the truth of death in life? Or will you wait until you are forced screaming, feeble and frail, into that final darkness?
Why wait?
The dream of the turtle is over, and life has already begun…

The dream of a turtle is over, it is awakened…
… before having another dream.
Thanks, Rizal.
…or not.
It depends on how one chooses to live. In this life too we can give, freely, knowing we are nothing but vehicles of compassion. A place to create goodness . Can we do this in death? I know not becoz I haven’t been on the other side. I know I am here, and as I ebb and flow , its fills me, what is the purpose of this moment, of this life ? Why wait ? Why wait indeed, to live from that place of unconditional compassion. Isn’t that why we’re here. To learn. To grow. It is hard but thats the struggle. How will we know light till we see the night. And maybe someday, they will merge and become whole. And the whole will over flow and pour into the cups half filled. Till then, the ebb and flow it is , my friend. What a beautiful, beautiful post. Am honoured to read it. Thank u.
Thank you, Uzma.
Nice. After supporting a friend through death last year, it struck me how much death was like awakening. Only death is temporary
Thanks, Davidya.
Well, it is all temporary…even our thoughts of death as temporary…
I sometimes wonder, What happens when Takuin comes to an end? But nothing ever comes…
“…a dream, searching for a dream-less state.”
Perfectly said.
Thank you, Kaushik…
