The Return

As those of you following me on Twitter or Facebook already know, Akiko and I are leaving for the United States today to attend to a death in the family. I’ll be there for three weeks.

I’ll be able to check e-mail and comments sporadically, and I’ll probably keep to one post per week, as usual. I am not sure if I’ll be writing about specific events during my stay, but most likely, the posts will be related in some way.

Be good, and take care of yourselves…

Be safe! Bring a jacket… it’s COLD here!

It has not been so terrible. Below freezing, sure. But not bad…

I think you’ll find the experience very interesting. You”ll find many things remembered will have changed. Death brings out the best and the worst in people. Stirring peoples old stories. Coming back to family. There is the joke that our families are the greatest test of our awakening. (laughs)

Have fun. I look forward to your observations.

Davidya,

Memory is difficult. I honestly can’t seem to remember the people I know I should. They will explain to me how we knew each other but it is usually not so helpful.

But for some people I see, there is no recognition, then suddenly, it is like the face re-constructs itself in front of me and BOOM, the person is suddenly there.

I am kind of enjoying that…
