There Are No Others

Takuin sits in a very noisy room and the mind calms down, activity dissipates, and suddenly it is there; an emptiness that silences the senses of the mind. It is such an intense, pulsing energy, others in the room feel it. It expands and takes everything with it. I sit, surrounded by people, surrounded by no one.

I used to joke it was like a disco mirror ball – one ball with many facets, each reflecting light differently.

Isha calls it the roaring silence. We sit, surrounded by awareness dancing in itself. One awareness, looking out and looking back. Then, simply looking.

Hmm…a roaring silence, or a disco inferno.
