I did have a great time, Jerry. And sorry that I somehow missed this comment.

You have said the thing very well. It is a working from within.

I wasn't able to get any shots of the mountains, but I did manage to get just about everything else.

In Toyama, if you wake up in the morning and clearly see the mountains, you have to rush out with your camera in order to be successful. That clarity doesn't last for very long.

I trust you have had a peaceful, even blissful time away from it all, Takuin. The surroundings you describe are alive in my mind without my having ever left my country (USA). I hear the gentle song of the breeze and see the beauty in the animals, flowers and trees - even the insects. I am contemplating peace in a war-torn world and the answer I am getting back is that of reflection, as if a mirror we hold ourselves up to nature and reflect back our interpretation of the world. Now, to be positive and give off an energy of peace even in the face of despair is the task. Only with a deep abiding peace within us which transcends the outer world can we hope to be able to make an impact; imparting beauty in a ravaged world. Thus, it is imperative for us to first work on ourselves in order that we might be able to spread this peace to others. I am looking forward to your return, seeing your pictures and reading your comments.

@Davidya: Thanks. I'll get into this on upcoming posts and discuss what happened while I was away.

@Tokumei: Thanks for the birthday wishes. I ate far too much Japanese birthday cake.

@Ashok: Thanks so much for the compliment. And many thanks for the birthday wishes. And (and) thanks for adding me to your list. I am happy to be of use, haha.

I'll be adding more pics to Flickr soon. I already have a few up.

Thanks everyone.

Sounds wonderful.
This evening I heard a talk. They spoke of how when we open to the flow of silence, that the feeling values can move into the physical, then the physical can move into the universe.
As we open more and more to the silence, it moves more and more into the world, for the world is that. When we make peace conscious in the world, we bring peace to the world.
