Water Fasting – Day 23

Focus has become more steady, and has finally reached a comfortable level of functioning. I think if I were to extend this fast into March, I would not suffer any ill effects due to lack of concentration. But I won’t be doing that.

All is very well.

Ellis,

I’ll write about that in the follow-up post in a day or two.

I’m not an expert on fasting, and I just did this as an experiment. But if you have any question of weight-loss, and are worried about that, you may want to test the waters with a short-term fast. A week to ten days.

Whatever you do, be sure you read about the process and all of the things that may happen. And more importantly, you must have an idea of why you are doing it in the first place. Knowing this was an experiment of the mind (for Takuin) took the focus off of food in some way.

It is best to be safe for the sake of your health, but the truth is, to really find out you’ll have to do it all yourself. Read about it, study, prepare, but trust that this journey is something that will unfold before you and is not born from memory.

Good luck.
