Muslim thought
To surrender completely to Oneness(of Allah ) . To not be bogged by worry or be high on happiness. To be grateful in every event. To have a self(nafs) that is mutmayeen(peaceful). To remember that we come from One Source and will return to it in the end. This is a slightly spiritual interpretation of Muslim thought. But I do believe somewhere it resonates with what you are saying.

Hi Bridgette.

I used to read various philosophic texts, but I have not done that in well over ten years, by now. I can see it as an interesting historical work, or even one's personal expression, but I have no desire to attach myself to it in a way that so many others might do. I do find the questions they ask interesting.

What I write is not born from Muslim thoughts. In fact, I do not know what it means to be Muslim, Christian, Republican, or whatever. Are there Muslim teachings that sound similar to what I speak of? It might be interesting to find out.

Thanks for your message.

Have you studied the works of philosophers such as Kant, Descartes or Hume ? Are your writings based primarily on Muslim thoughts and beliefs ?
