There was a time when I rejected everything to see what might be left over, if anything. But the problem with that was I never rejected my need for rejection.

There was always someone still in charge of the whole thing.

...I stopped reading spiritual literature entirely.

Really, no one can tell you how to do any of this.

You have to be diligent, never looking away from what you are. It is not something you can do for just an hour a day on a cushion somewhere.

All of this searching, this “I must be better tomorrow than I am today,” kind of thing is all self-centered activity.

At the ending of all movement there is nothing; nothing to hold onto, and no real understanding of any-thing.

It is not even as I explain, so please do not make it into another ‘thing’ you want to acquire.

Many nice, pointy pointers here. Thanks.

Thanks Davidya,

Takuin does observe. That is both the blog and the content.

I suppose it is subject to change at any given moment, but that has nothing to do with what Takuin might hope for.

It is almost time for the wind to blow in a different direction…

Yes, awakening has nothing to do with anything a person might do. It is Self awakening to Itself.

And yet, some things happen. Perhaps some technique or teaching, some journey or experience. Self organizes it's own process. It may appear that the person is doing something. But it is not. Tom put it well. Takuin does nothing.

Unless you like to call 'observe' something. Takuin does observe. That is both the blog and the content.

Uzma,

Thanks for your comment.

Be suspicious of that fear...you can only fear what you know, and you can only know the past. It isn't a fear of the unknown, as that is an impossibility; it is a fear arising from your interaction with knowledge. (That is thought, in a nutshell.)

If that fear arises in you, follow it to its source. You'll find that it is not a ghost, but the wind blowing through the trees.

Hey Takuin
I really liked this post . I find myself in it , in so many places. Mostly trying to have a better tomorrow. Thankfully I have come to realize that this is a self centered activity.
Am also very tempted to give up spiritual reading for a bit.
The aloneness scared me but...
Am just going to watch the now, hopefully :-)

Tom,

“He would do nothing, absolutely nothing.”

There is one thing I will do...I'll take 25% of the total sales for those bracelets. Make it happen!

I'm going to start making little bracelets that have "WWTD" embroidered on them. That way all the Christians around here, who are wearing their "WWJD" (What would Jesus do) bracelets will get curious and ask me what WWTD stands for. And I will say, "Oh, it means 'what would Takuin do?' " And then I will say, "He would do nothing, absolutely nothing." And then smile. :-)
